Most of the plays are by Roosevelt Wright, Jr., However, several titles are written by other playwrights. The authors are noted in the play descriptions.

Many of the plays can be downloaded immediately after purchase. However, some of them must be mailed; they are not downloadable.

If any lines are added or changed other than minor language adjustments, the program should indicate that production has been “Adapted from a play by Roosevelt Wright, Jr.”

You are free to make copies of the scripts for the actors. However, the scripts should not be copied for sale.

Yes, if the performance is a non-royalty production. We only ask that the author be acknowledged in the video credits. However, if tickets are sold to the production, the fee for selling videos will be included in the royalty arrangement made with Black Church Plays.

It is assumed that the plays will be performed for church audiences and no tickets will be sold. There are no royalties as long as there are no fees charged to attend performances.
